Classroom Rules
1. Students will enter the gym walking quietly and have a seat in their assigned exercise spots.
2. Gum, food and candy are not allowed in the gym!
3. Students are encouraged to display a positive attitude at all times.
4. Report all injuries to the teacher immediately.
5. All students must be dressed in appropriate exercise tennis shoes. Toms, Keens, hiking shoes, boots, backless shoes, Mary Jane soft sole shoes, skate board shoes, and slip on shoes like them are not designed for safe exercise!
6. Appropriate active wear needs to be worn. Shorts and/or pants, and t-shirts are preferred. If a child is going to war a skirt on their P.E. day, then please put shorts under the skirt.
7. When the whistle blows students are to STOP, LOOK, AND LISTEN!
8. Students who are present, but unable to participate, must have a parent's note for the first or second day. A doctor's note will be needed for a prolonged illness, injury, and/or condition. This protects everyone involved, and especially protects your child! Your child's safety is our first concern!
*If a child is sick, or cannot participate for some reason, we will provide an alternative activity for him or her to complete.
* Please advise us, or the school nurse personally of any medical conditions that would keep your child from participating in certain activities.
Progress Report
If there is a problem that needs to be addressed that may affect your child's Physical Education behavior or participation in our class then a progress report will be sent home. Participation is a very big part of our class.
